Santana Offers Reward to Any Teammate Who Scores Or Drives In Run

Prior to tonight's game at Citi Field vs. San Diego, starting pitcher Johan Santana revealed a little desperation. Two outings ago in Milwaukee, Santana was frustrated by his lack of run support. He came to bat with two outs in the top of the 8th inning in a scoreless game. Then this.

"F*** you Jobu, I do it myself."

No, Jobu wasn't there to save him, but Santana neared a home run and it was as close as he ever got to winning.

Tonight, the Mets ace offered his teammates a $10,000 reward and a free dinner anywhere in the city if they score or drive in a run. In addition, "complimentary visitors" will be supplied for anyone who scores twice. Rumor has it that this extra incentive has peaked Jose's interest.

More to come...
